The elections are over and it looks like we're in for four years of Barack Obama! Good news for some, bad news for others, but it will be interesting to see what happens!
In the meanwhile, we're slowly trucking along over here in dannyyun.com land, and we've finally put up the pictures from HEMF 4 now that HEMF 6 is rolling around. Of particular excitement is the news that one of Danny's best friends, DJ Saya, is going to be tackling HEMF this year.
Meanwhile, life has been throwing curveballs Danny's way and he's trying to counter as best he can. Headway is slowly being made on a new studio mix. We'll keep you updated on that. In the meantime, check out the pictures, we hope you enjoy them.

Welcome back! The website has been dormant for almost two years and we're excited to get on the ball and get cranking with updates and information. In the time since we last said anything, there's been a lot of changes.
Now, the reasons why we've been dormant are twofold. Due to circumstances outside of their control, the two guys that made up Mod25 (the company that was originally doing web development) parted ways and were unable to fulfill their obligation to finish the site, to include back-end features. Until we were able to find new web developers, the site languished. Now we've got one and it looks like we can start getting regular updates again!
Second, Danny no longer resides in Hawaii, but has relocated to the Santa Cruz mountains, just south of the San Francisco Bay area. The move took a lot of energy and for most of the past year he hasn't had a lot of focus to put towards music, in general. It's been a hard year, but Danny is once again primed and ready to play the music we all love.
His appearance at HEMF4 went off, and we'll have pictures from that soon (quite late we know, it's almost time for HEMF6 already!). He played as a resident for a few small monthly events as well as playing a peak-hour set to close Lotus Soundbar.
Most recently, Danny has begun to make an appearance in the Santa Cruz area. A relatively dormant scene has been revived by a few small production crews. Danny has played at one Afterparty event, at a local weekly, and is slated to play another weekly event in the coming weeks.
Also on his agenda is compiling new mixed sets. It has been two years since he recorded Fables and its time to see what he's been rocking since then.
For the website, we're looking at including forums and a blog. Combing through the code will take some time, Mod25 left us with a very nice looking website, and we'd like to keep the look as we go forward.

What's up everybody? Sorry, it's been a long time, hasn't it? Well, that's the Holiday season for you. Things are really gearing up and we're going to be starting the New Year right. Included in today's update is the second part of the Broken Intellect: Second Thoughts mix. We know you've been waiting a full month and a half to hear it.
Also, we are pleased to formally announce Danny's inclusion into HEMF4. What's a HEMF4? Well, it's the Hawaii Electronic Music Festival, held on the Big Island, four days of beats and dance with artists invited from across the United States. Danny was invited to drop some beats. This is the fourth annual HEMF (hence HEMF 4), and it shows no signs of stopping. Sprocket of Big Island Love does a beautiful job of pulling off this event, getting the support of the community and hosting night from one end of the island to the other.
Also, we're introducing a new section to the website today, Galleries. Here you'll find pictures from events that Danny played at or had a hand in producing. We're starting with pictures from the Future Primitive Gatherings held in the mountains above Makakilo on Oahu, a few pictures from Trilogy pt I, and pictures from the most recent event in memory, Sanctuary, held at Ong King in Honolulu's Chinatown. We hpe you enjoy this look at a portion of the scene in Hawaii!

Greetings all...
Things have been quiet around here lately, so we're gonna make a little noise. We hope you enjoyed listening to Miklos as well as the new mix by Danny. For your aural pleasure, we are posting up the first disc of Broken Intellect: Second Thoughts, a mix that returns us to the progressive breakbeats that Danny played in the first Broken Intellect.

How's everything going out there? Just wanted to toss out a few things:
Yup, this Saturday night, Danny will be playing at the Cirque Hawaii for what looks to be the first in a series of three events. Come and check it out.
Also, we're putting up the second set in the Aleph series for your perusal. We hope you enjoy it.
You'll also notice we've updated Danny's top ten. A new season means some new top tracks.

Aloha, everybody.
Sorry we haven't updated in a while. Hopefully we will make it up to you with the addition of TWO new mixes to download. One is the first of Danny's two Aleph sets, Night Tribe. The second is our first guest mix on the site, from Aya's own Miklos!
This means there is a new section in the site, where we will archive all the guest mixes. We really look forward to hosting several great mixes by friends and peers of Danny. Another new section coming up is a reviews section, where Danny will write his thoughts on various events that he attends, along with pictures. And we should also get up a gallery where thoughts and pictures from the events that Danny plays at will be posted.
Also, things have been relatively busy, with several events on the way. Coming up will be an event held at the Cirque Hawaii location in Waikiki on Oct. 7th. Also, a new monthly is starting called Sanctuary, where Danny will hold down a residency. Sanctuary will be held at Ong King in Chinatown.
Finally, Danny was recently invited by Pacific Jungle Management to headline one of their Subphonix events. Danny managed to hold his own playing Drum and Bass, a genre quite different from what he normally plays. The mix was recorded and will be available for download as soon as we get it!

Hey everyone, what's going on?
So the beach party date is moved from the 7th, due to scheduling conflicts with Subphonix, a Drum -n- Base monthly thrown by a good friend of mine and we'll be going to that.
However, it'll still be happening, likely the next weekend, so e-mail Danny to stay in the know.
This week, the new mix is Travelling, a nu-skool breakbeat mix. Check it out.

Sorry for slackin', two weeks since the last update. We had a beach party this last weekend, the next one will be on the 7th of July, e-mail me for info.

Wow, Future Primitive was a huge success. Thanks to everyone that came out. Copious amounts of fun were had by all.
The final set of Fables (Myths 2) is available now, besure to check it out.
Also, soon we'll be showcasing sets from various Hawaii-based DJs so you can check out what else Hawaii has to offer.
We'll also get a gallery up with pictures. Keep coming back!
